The distinctive tailoring that is the foundation of a Nells Nelson piece is the culmination of designer Sisi Li’s decades-long career in design. With an eye for subtlety, an appreciation for quiet luxury, and a background anchored in strong tailoring, Sisi Li understands the demands of today’s women and meets their needs with clothes that are at once effortless and elegant. Hers is a tailored approach to feminine dressing and women such as Jessica Chastain, Kristen Stewart and Sandra Bullock have come to rely on Nells Nelson clothing.   

Prior to launching Nells Nelson in 2017, Sisi’s career included costume design for Warner Brother a-list stars, and art direction and styling for Sony Music. She created her own men’s collection that counted Sting and other music icons as clients and co-founded IISLI with Andrew Rosen, where she learned to scale a brand on an international level. Nells Nelson was born out of Sisi’s desire for classically tailored clothes, crafted from the finest materials, with a modern attitude.

Nells Nelson is inspired by and produced along the Adriatic coast La Marche region in Italy. The place is raw and poetic, with majestic rolling hills and breathtaking scenery. People are highly skilled and knowledgeable with their hands, staying truthful and loyal to their craftsmanship. All materials are carefully selected from the finest mills that are specialized in their field. Nells Nelson is named after Sisi's son and husband.
